Managing the emotional intelligence in teachers supports healthy mental growth to provide the best education for children. There are five domains in emotional intelligence in this study which are teachers' ability to recognize emotions, teacher's emotional management, teacher's motivation, teacher's empathy and teacher's social relationships. This study was conducted to examine the level of emotional intelligence found in kindergarten teachers according to the perception of kindergarten teachers. A quantitative approach using a survey form has been applied in this study. There were 110 kindergarten teachers from PASTI kindergartens in the Kuantan and Paya Besar areas who were involved in this study. The data obtained was analyzed using the mean, percentage and standard deviation through the application of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) Version 23. The findings of the study show that the level of emotional intelligence of kindergarten teachers at PASTI is high. However, in the context of emotional intelligence, teachers place a high level of empathy when dealing with children rather than caring about their own emotional management. This study gives implications for teachers that kindergarten teachers' emotional intelligence skills are important in dealing with children every day. Emotional management is a construct that needs to be emphasized to help teachers understand their own emotions to build healthy and safe interactions with children.
